Some important rules to follow when using Sodium Hydroxide and are to never use a metal bowl as it will have a negative reaction to sodium hydroxide and can be dangerous.
Instructions:
Using a glass or plastic container add 3 teaspoons of sodium Hydroxide to 2 tablespoons of water and stir with a plastic or wooden spoon. The mixture will start to fizz and heat up in an exothermic reaction with the water. Pour down your drain and wait 30 minutes or so.
Rinse any remainder of Sodium Hydroxide with boiling hot water. Your drains should be unclogged. If not you can repeat the process.
