Homemade Root Beer Soda
You can actually make Root Beer Soda at home with our simple recipe. This root beer tastes amazing, and all you need is a few simple ingredients. For the best taste, we recommend using McCormick®’s Natural & Artificial Flavored Root Beer Concentrate. If you would like to make cream soda, you can use vanilla extract in place of the root beer concentrate.
1 1/2 cusp of water
2 teaspoons flavored root beer concentrate
2 liters carbonated water
half-and-half and ice to taste
Boil the water and sugar and stir until all of the sugar is dissolved.
Slowly add in 3 teaspoons of sodium benzoate.
Add the root beer concentrate and allow the syrup to cool, and place in the refrigerator.
Then add the 0.125 ounces of citric acid.
Poor into your soda bottles along with the half and half and carbonated water, and you will have your homemade root beer soda.
Sodium Benzoate is a chemical preservative that in very low concentration inhibits the activity of the microorganisms. At FlaLab.com we are sure to make our Sodium Benzoate is the highest quality, ready for your food or product preservation.
